LCA-DFW STANDING COMMITTEES
Below are the various committees operating under the Liberian Community Association.

Standing Committees: LCA-DFW has ten (10) standing committees that are vital to the operation and mission of the Association. These include:
1. Financial Committee
2. Charity Committee
3. Community Relations Committee
4. Ways and Means Committee
5. Membership Committee
6. Sports Committee
7. Elections Commission **(Members are voted)
8. Resolution Review Committee
9. Public Relations Committee
10. Audit Committee
Duties and responsibilities of the Committees:
1: Financial Committee
Responsible for reviewing and auditing the financial records, bills, and accounts of the Association on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December).
The Chair must have experience in accounting and auditing.
Oversees that no account is accepted without examination and approval by the committee.
Manages the oversight of LCA/DFW bank accounts, which require three signatories for approvals (President, Chair of the Board, and Financial Secretary).
2: Charity Committee
Recommends charitable contributions and actions to the President for implementation.
3: Community Relations Committee
Acts as the advocacy arm, fostering relationships between LCA and other organizations within the community, region, and nationally.
4: Ways and Means & Program Committee
Develops strategies to raise funds for LCA, plans key programs, and coordinates activities as directed by the President.
5: Membership Committee
Manages member recruitment, maintains the membership database, and introduces new members to the community.
6: Sports Committee
Oversees and organizes sporting activities such as soccer, basketball, kickball, track and field, and walking, with both internal and external community participation.
7: Elections Commission
Ensures the proper planning and execution of LCA/DFW elections in accordance with the By-Laws and Constitution.
8: Resolution Review Committee
Reviews and presents constitutional amendment recommendations to the membership for a vote.
9: Public Relations Committee
Manages all internal and external communication, media engagement, and social media, and distributes event promotions.
10: Audit Committee
Audits the financial records every three years, with members selected by the President and confirmed by the General Assembly.
Committee Meetings
All standing committees are required to report during regular meetings, with additional meetings scheduled as requested by the President or Association.
